A picture of a Birch Celtic Reiki Federation's Code of Conduct and Ethics

All Members of the C.R.F MUST agree to abide by our strict code as outlined below, BEFORE completing the membership application. The intent of this C.R.F. Code is to hold members to a high standard of ethics in their practice of Celtic Reiki.

However the C.R.F. cannot guarantee that all members abide by, and/or practice this code at all times, but each member has agreed to this code and it bound by their personal honour to uphold this code. Breaches of this code will be taken seriously and are very likely to mean that membership WILL be revoked.

  1. Adhere to the Principles of Reiki - Just for today, I will give thanks for all my blessings Just for today, I will not worry Just for today, I will not get angry Just for today, I will do my work honestly Just for today, I will show love and respect for every living and nonliving thing.
  2. Not solely to take from the Celtic Reiki energies, the trees and sea which they represent or from the Natural world in general, but to also give back to the environment and to thank those who's Energy we use. To respect the Natural world and to actively take steps to limit our personal affect on the Natural world.
  3. Always treat every client/student with the utmost respect and honour, and to respect them as individuals.
  4. Provide an empowering and supportive, safe and comfortable environment for clients and students.
  5. Keep utterly confidential any information discussed with clients/students unless you have obtained prior permission to do so.
  6. Always inform the client/student what they can expect to happen and experience before, during and after their Reiki session.
  7. Be respectful of all other Reiki practitioner's training, opinions, views, paths and manuals. Be prepared to learn from others and be prepared for others to learn from you. Always obtain permission in writing if you wish to use the manuals of others, however the CRF encourages Teachers to write their own manuals, from their own perspective, knowledge and experience. For more information on this please see the manuals page.
  8. The practitioner must always act and conduct their affairs impeccably, and take their own health and well-being into account. The Practitioner will not practice any therapies in which they are not trained / attuned to.
  9. Educate clients on the value of Reiki and explain that sessions do not guarantee healing or complete recovery. Never interfere with the work of licensed Healthcare Professionals. Inform the client that Reiki is not a substitute for qualified medical or professional care but is instead is complementary to any healthcare that the client may already be recieving. Inquire if the client regularly sees a medical professional for any condition and to also suggest a consultation with a qualified and licensed medical professional, if a problem or situation could be considered a threat to the client's well-being in any way.
  10. The practitioner must actively pursue continuing professional development, e.g. working directly with the Celtic Reiki Energies, the Trees and sea which they represent and the natural world, researching the Ogham symbols of Celtic Reiki, attending Reiki/Healing Workshops, researching Celtic culture. To actively reflect and assess their Reiki work and practices to seek improvements.
  11. Members are kindly asked to keep their fees for Celtic Reiki and teaching/training others in Reiki to a reasonable amount.
  12. We ask that you obey the laws of the land wherever you live in respect of your work with Celtic Reiki.
