Green Living
Working with Celtic Reiki is to work directly with the world around us, we must respect the Natural world in order to work with it. We use Energies of the Trees and the ocean, but we must also return the Energy - the web of Energy is about giving as well as recieving. Each and everyone of us needs to seek a balance, each time we use Reiki, to work on ourselves, others or to do or recieve an attunement, we should consider giving something back in return as a Thank you.
Some ways to say Thank you and give back to the Reiki and Environment are
- To send a treatment to the Trees that you have been working with.
- To make a donation to an environmental charity such as GreenPeace or a Tree planting charity.
- Adopt and care for a Tree in your area, or plant one.
- Lobby your local authority about the Trees and environment in your area.
- Start or join a local campaign to help the environment in your area.
- Get a water butt for your garden. It means you can harvest rainwater and keep your garden green at the same time.
- Use Energy and water sparingly, switch to Energy saving light bulbs and fix any leaky faucets. Don't leave the tap running while brushing your teeth or shaving.
- When out shopping, think to yourself - "Do you REALLY need this?"
- Re-use, Recycle and Repair, try to minimise the amount of disposable goods that you buy.
- Ask your local authority about their recycling services, if they do not already have services for recycling green waste, paper, plastics, tins etc then contact your local MP or Senator.
- Seek to buy products with minimal packaging.
- Live more simply, with less clutter.
- Compost your kitchen/garden waste. Ask your local authority about cheap compost bin schemes they may have.
- Buy products that are not tested on animals and that are environmentally friendly.
- Walk, cycle or use public or shared transport.
- Try using distilled white vinegar as a household cleaning product - it removes limescale, mixed 50/50 with water it cleans windows.
